Blackstone, CVC and MUFG among bidders for a stake in Vietnam’s MoMo
Vietnam’s leading e-wallet is running a process for a stake of up to 50%, with binding bids due in September and a valuation that could reach $2.5–3B if priced above its 2021 mark.

Three very different types of buyer — a PE giant (Blackstone), a global buyout firm (CVC), and a strategic bank (MUFG) — all bidding for the same asset tells you MoMo is seen as a genuinely scarce, category-leading holding in Vietnamese fintech, not a distressed or forced sale.
If MoMo prices at the top of its $2–3B range, it would clear above its 2021 mark — a premium outcome that would make this one of the largest and cleanest examples of Southeast Asian fintech re-rating upward tracked on this site.
